Biography

After honoring a four-year commitment to the United States Air Force, Bill Barker entered the insurance industry in 1962 at John Hancock Company where he met his future business partner, Carl Weber. In 1982, Barker Weber Insurance was founded and Carl later died in 1998.

Barker Weber Insurance Agency originally focused on life, health, and personal lines, later adding commercial insurance in 1985. Since opening in 1982 where the agency consisted of Bill, Carl and a receptionist, Barker Weber has grown into a full service agency with over 20 sales and servicing agents.

Bill expects nothing but the best from his employees, expecting honest, fair practices with our clients. He expects our agents and servicing team to treat the needs of our clients as if they were their own.

Bill often says to clients, "We don't work for an insurance company, we work for you. We work on your side when you have a loss and follow through to see you get fair, prompt payment."
